And So It Goes...

Last Saturday, I hit up the Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale.  I look forward to it every year so I can grab a new piece for fall.  The only downside is then I stare at  my new purchase longingly hanging in my closet, while sweating in the heat the rest of the summer, planning out fall outfits in my head!  I had four items on my wish list this year and ended up coming home with one of them...and this dress...which unfortunately, was not on sale...

Dress-Nordstrom's/ Shoes-Steve Madden/Jewelry-Old Navy, Banana Republic, Bauble Bar

This is my attempt st dressing up this casual cotton dress for work.  I brought with a khaki blazer to thrown on at work if needed...but it was just way to hot to put it on...even just for photos!  I even wore this dress again Tuesday for running errands...just added flat sandals and two strands of long silver beads.
Sale-wise, I ended up buying a Pink Boucle biker jacket...brand Hinge...love it!!!  Also was looking for a new foundation so I purchased Bobbi Brown BB Cream. My skin is so sensitive that I am waiting to see if I get a reaction from it...so far so good!!

Worn to work Wednesday, June 25

 Skirt-LOFT/Cardigan-Target/Flats-Naturalizer/Jewelry-Art Fair, H&M, Old Navy

Not sure why I put on a cardigan today...it is hot!!  Basic casual corporate outfit...had a meeting.  The centerpiece of this ensemble is the the necklace.  My mom bought it for me at an art fair last weekend...thanks lady!!

The Nordstrom dress is darling. I am a sucker for stripes. And when you put them on a dress, you've won me over. And the bold accessories are great too. Also love the look from today as well - the colors are great!

Love both outfits!! It definitely is so hard to dress in the heat, the only reason I am looking forward to summer being over is for the fashion.

I love that dress--I'm sure you'll get lots of use out of it so no doubt it was a good buy! It looks really comfy, but still professional enough for work. Can't wait to see the jacket!

That necklace is so pretty!! And I love your leopard flats with the striped dress. The sole of my (cheap) leopard flats came right off, so I need to find myself a new pair. They're such a fun way to jazz up an outfit!

I think the dress qualifies as an excellent non-sale purchase...it seems so versatile, and I love it! Also, I'm JUST A LITTLE EXCITED to see the jacket. It sounds amazing :)
