I Hear Voices...

Worn to work Monday, November 19

Dress-Michael Kors/Cardigan-Silence and Noise/Boots-Franco Sarto/Jewelry-Black Sheep, Jcrew, F21, Limited

I was contemplating wearing pants today, but all the dresses in my closet were staring at me...taunting me "wear me now...you will have no reason to get all dressed up come January..."  Well, of course I decided to listen to the dresses pleas....  So, I plan to wear only dresses and skirts to work until January.  I used to only be a dress and skirt person, but I recently made a truce with pants and jeans and have begun enjoying their friendship.  But I have a feeling they will wear out their welcome once I transition to stay at home mom.  This dress is an old favorite...bought at the Nordstrom's Anniversary sale back in 2007I usually dress it up with a blazer, but since I had no meeting today and would be sitting at my desk most of the day, I tried to style it a bit more casual.  I threw on this moto jacket sweatshirt thing and a dangly necklace.  I am not sure the blog has every seen these boots before... These were purchased at the Nordstroms Anniversary sale summer 2005...told you I always buy something at that sale... I wore them for a holiday party when I was 6 months pregnant with Jack at the end of 2005.  The were so uncomfortable with by swollen preggo feet, that they got relagated to a storage box and never saw the light of day until we moved.  Fast forward 3 years late, I finally unpacked the box and discovered a new to me pair of boots...woo hoo...the wedge is about 2 1/2 comfy inches!

Other ways I have worn this dress...

Today I am linking up with Monday Mingle, hosted by the delightful BonBon Rose Girls

Cute dress! I heart Michael Kors. In theory, as I usually can't afford him. This almost all-black outfit is so chic. Black clothes and I just don't get along. I can never keep the cat and dog hair away.

I love this dress everytime you wear it! That's pretty awesome about finding the boots. It's cool when you put things away, forget about them, and then rediscover them again :)

Now I have that sone I Hear Voices in my head, lol. I think it's by Chris Young or some country singer?? Heather

I had to say no to pants today too, just because it's so mild out! I wouldn't call 55 warm, but it was definitely good skirt weather!

And I bet you can still get some wear out of some of your skirts and dresses when you're in full-time mom mode - it's just a matter of dressing them a little more casually than business, so maybe pair with scarves, a denim jacket and leggings.

I like the houndstooth print! We're having mind weather right now, so I am trying to wear some of my dresses before it gets too cold.
