Thanks For Visiting...

Wow...Rachael Jay from Suburban Style Challenge gave me a Versatile Blogger Award...very cool!  With the award, I am supposed to share stuff about me.  So, seven things about me you might not know...hmmmm...I normally share a lot, so I am going to have to dig deep...

-I spent the first year out of college working in Casper Wyoming...the middle of nowhere...There was a deer that like to hang out in our back yard!

-I had blond hair...but only for about a week.  I just could not do it.  I looked in the mirror and did not recognize myself...plus I hate the seeing dark roots...too much maintenance!

-When I go to cubs games I have to keep score.  I started to do it as a child so I could focus on the game.

-I love Jack Daniels...but have not had a drink in about a year and a half...issues abound...

-I say I am a shy person...but recently, I have realized that I am really not...sometimes I just never shut up!

-The other night I told my kids it was nine o'clock, bedtime, so they would go to bed...really it was 7:30, I was home alone and I had lost my patience for their wildness...bad mom!!

-I loosened the reigns on my diet last night and had a lot of pizza...I fell like such a slug today...don't tell my trainer!

Now, let me share...what I wear...

 Dress-Target/Sweater-Express/Shoes-Old Navy/Jewelry-LOFT, Baublebar, H&M

This is one of my favorite summer dresses from Target, but I wanted to wear it now...in the cold weather of winter.  So, I decided to throw on a chunky sweater and tights.  But, the highlight of my outfit is the wedges,  I ordered them from Old Navy recently...super-duper sale and have been at a loss for how to style them.  I think I achieved the look I was going for, pairing them with this dress and sweater.  Despite the 3 inch wedges, they are really comfy...I love feeling tall!!

Nice styling of this dress! I just saw mine hanging in the closet and wished it was spring so I could wear it again, but maybe I'll try grounding it with dark tights and a sweater like you have.

If it makes you feel better, I had Lou Malnati's for lunch today, so I'm having some tasty pizza guilt (and stomachaches from cheese with fat in it - ugh) too! I won't tell your trainer if you don't tell mine :)

I've only met you once, but no, you're not a shy person! Hehe. I think it's great that you're talkative. It fills in the blanks where I would tend to leave awkward silences.

And I just ordered those shoes online from Old Navy, so it's fun to see ideas of how to style them!

Congrats on the award lady! It was fun to get to know more about you. I think this is a great look, truth be told I almost bought those shoes at Old Navy... and now that I see how cute they are I just may go back and get em.

You can never go wrong with a good wedge, I think! And I love how you styled them with this outfit :)

I hope you had some time this weekend to rest and recover from last week, with your husband back in town. The longest I've been on solo duty has been three nights, and that was exhausting in and of itself. I can only imagine how worn out you must have been after an entire week :(

These are very interesting facts abour yourself! The one about sending the kids to sleep early really made me laugh. I think you did a great job at making this summery target dress look winter appropriate. And your new Old Navy wedges look so chic and comfy!

Haha! You are not a bad mom!! lol My 3yo has a clock that turns green that tells him when he can wake up. He's one of those that would wake up at 5 am if we let him. We normally keep it set to 6am, but sometimes on the weekends I set it back a whole hour and make him stay in bed till 7! lol

The wedges are adorable!! And I love them with this gray and black ensemble!
