Funky Town is Not a Vacation Spot...

You will have to pardon the fact that I am a big, gigantic walking mess today...

Skirt-BR/Cardigan-Norstroms/shoes-Lands End/Jewelry-Target, DIY, Mexican Shop

I just feel like a frustrated mess today...maybe it is because it is because I tried on this skirt today expecting it to be loose like usual and needing a belt...nope, it fit, and that is no good!  Another reason could be that my camera has a mind of its own and when I press the remote once, it goes crazy...taking hundreds of photos in a row...I have to take the battery out of the remote receiver to get it to stop...I had 400 photos after I finished taking outfit pics.  Another reason for the mess may be that even the thermometer on says 81...it feels so much warmer and humid.  My hair was getting frizzy and attacking my face....ahhhh!

I share my new boat shoes today...they are so comfy.  I had to throw them in my cart when I was ordering Jack's backpack from Lands End.  When I was a teenager there was this preppy boy that I liked who wore boat shoes...oh the memories of simpler times...back to reality!

Hoping to defunk my funk, I indulged in some retail therapy this afternoon.  There are some great discounts going on.  Tried on 5 pairs of pants at Loft, but ended up with two skirts and a lace t-shirt...30 percent off friends and family coupon this weekend.  I had to stop in Zara...bought a new striped t-shirt.  Also, a few pieces of fun jewelry from F21...I do feel a bit better now.

What do you gals do when you are in a funk?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Blogging more helps me get out of my funk (keeps me accountable to looking decent)! And take naps. Being in a funk usually means you are too tired to deal with life. Rest well and you will feel better.

I've been in a funk myself for the past week. I actually blogged about it toay. Regardless of your mood, you look wonderful. I LOVE the boat shoes. I was just telling my daughter today how I needed a pair. We went for some retail therapy too today but unfortunately I bought nothing for myself. It was school shopping (blah) :(

Diggin' the boat shoes - I have been considering a pair myself. BOO to funks - yay to retail therapy! Can't wait to see what you bought...

Yup, I'm a retail therapy fan as well. Ice cream also gets me through my funks. (But the ice cream AND retail therapy is never a good idea--trying on clothes after filling up on ice cream just makes my mood worse.) Anyway, I think you're being too hard on yourself. I think you look great--that sweater is adorable, and I LOVE the boat shoes!

Awe! Hope you had a great weekend and are out of that funk now. I've had a couple of those days lately myself...
Love your boat shoes, that was on my shopping list for this summer and I still haven't gotten around to it.

Bummer about the funk...thank goodness they usually pass quickly (hopefully!!)
I love your boat shoes...I've been eyeing a few pairs up lately, but I have yet to buy any because I don't know if I just love them on everyone else, or if I actually love the idea for me. Of course if I find some really cheap ones I'll have to jump on that boat! haha..I'm so punny... ;)

Shopping is definitely my in-a-funk cure. And frozen yogurt too! Hope things start looking up soon!

Well first of all, I LOVE your boat shoes! My mom got a pair of pink ones and I was so jealous that I can't wear her size.

Second of all, I feel like I am in a funk today too, so I feel your pain.

And I second the motion to retail therapy when I am in a funk. Also, i like blogging and getting outside.

Awesome boat shoes! I am such a fan of those :)

I am a fellow retail therapy convert, so I shop when I'm stressed or sad or, well...happy. I just love to shop, I guess. I'm trying to get away from it a bit, though!
