Silly Strings And Things...

Worn to work Wednesday, March 7

Top, Skirt, Trench-Target/Booties-Steve Madden/Jewelry-Black Sheep, Baublebar

I wanted to style up my new Target bright blue skirt for yesterday's full schedule of meetings at work.  So I decided on the Jason Wu for Target shirt and favorite Steve Madden booties.  It was so warm out yesterday, that I considered going sans tights...but decided the world is not quite ready for my uber white legs!  The unseasonable warmth is also affording me a chance to start wearing my new Target trench...yeah!!! I an determined not to wear my winter coat again...a decision I might just have to reconsider if it snows again...oh well!

Sweater-Old Navy/Pants-Loft/Jewelry-Black Sheep, Target, BR/Shoes-Vaneli via Lori's

Today just seemed like a pants type of day. Also, circles abound...sweater, necklace, bracelet...no I did not do that on purpose, I just realized it while editing these photos.  I have had these shoes for about 5 years...there is just something so fun about purple suede with a bow!

If you squint and look real closely at my left wrist, there is a red, white and blue piece of yarn tangled up in my bracelets...it has a story... Alex found it at my mom's house yesterday and immediately slung it across his body like he said the gunslingers do.  Then this morning, the boys were fighting over this dirty piece of yard...I guess Jack found it on the sidewalk while out on a walk with Papa and was pretty pissed that Alex had gotten a hold of it.  So Jack could not bring it to school, Alex told me that I should wear it all pretty to work and take care of it, but make sure that I brought it right home after work and not leave it on my desk.  Of all the fancy toys my boys have, they fought all morning over a dirty piece of yarn...ahhh!!!

I love both of these outfits! I've been eying that trench at Target (and other similarly bright, cute ones) and the bright blue skirt, so I'm especially a fan of yesterday's look.

Your shoes today are super cute too!

The string story is too cute.

You look great in both looks. That trench is fab.

Really love both of these looks. I love the bright skirt in the first outfit. And I have that exact same sweater from Old Navy. Love how you paired it with the neutral pants - very chic and simple. You look wonderful!

The yarn adds a nice touch. ;) I LOVE that red trench...I have one similar but it's not quite warm enough here to wear it yet. :( Maybe someday...

I have that blue skirt in khaki and am so tempted to go back and get the fun coral-y/red color. I also have that polkadotty sweater in tan/pink and haven't even worn it yet! I'm having issues trying to figure out what to wear with it. I need a fun oxford to layer underneath. LOVING that red trench, too!

Oh you always have the cutest shoes! Great combos with the red/blue.

Hah kids are hilarious. I can't believe they were fighting over that yard. It's like giving kids new toys and all they want to play with is a kitchen bowl. :)
