I learned two important things today while taking my outfit photos...
-I desperately need a remote for my camera. I still focus on a spot, set the :10 timer, and run into the photo...such a pain, especially when the terrain is rocky... A remote would really make my life so much easier...that and a maid and nanny... I guess I will just settle for the remote!
-Underwire bras are your friend when wearing cotton dresses...the foundation does make all the difference. I looked at older pictures of me wearing this dress and I hate to say it, but it looks better when my boobs don't hang if I have on a better bra...oh well, I am not ready for one yet...so the boobs will stay where they hang for now!
Today's post is a bit photo heavy because I loved the way the background of these photos came out. Instead of taking my pics in front of the boring fence by my office, I stopped at the park along the lake. I am going to try to stop there more often...try being the key....since that would require me and the boys actually getting out of the house early not late like usual!

what a beautiful photo location. I love the lake. I'm stuck inside because I'm too shy to take pics outside.
What color nail polish is that? It looks great!
Love the photo location!!
& that elephant ring!
xx.

The background is beautiful. I do the same thing where I set a timer - it seems like it'd be easier to get more natural photos if I wasn't watching the countdown on my camera out of the side of my eye. Hee hee.

That is a pretty location for photos. I think a camera remote is totally worth it!
I love the background on your pictures too! lovely.
And you are right about the underwire being a necessity. It makes a HUGE difference under most things!
I like the rocky backdrop, and your striped dress! I have yet to work up the courage to take outside photos. I keep wimping out--mostly because I don't want strangers stopping to stare, but also because I don't have a tripod or a remote, so that makes life difficult!!
You should totally spring for the remote - you can get a nice tiny wireless one for about $15. SOOO Worth it!
Chic on the Cheap
Love the great lakefront view - such a wonderful sunny day :)
I dont want to be the one to break this to you but a remote is just a little more helpful sometimes the camera cant focus unless you lock in the focus it's a pain but not as big as running to the spot.
P.S.
I want a cook and a maid. that would be the life.
Write it in Lipstick
Don't push yourself too far too quickly...make sure you're going easy on yourself :)
Gorgeous pictures today! And I LOVE the nail color.
In case you don't see the reply on my blog---I have a Nook (Wi-Fi) and love it! I also have a Nook Color (gift from my mom...same Christmas Adam gave me a Nook Wi Fi), but---while it's awesome----I'd recommend the regular Nook for reading as it has the awesome eink technology :) No complaints thus far! Absolutely feeling like reading a book. I never thought I'd want an ereader but I love it.
That is such a serene background for photo shoots. I love your dress by the way and that bracelet.
Agree about the background - beautiful! And I am right there with you on the timer thing. I probably wouldn't have to take so many pictures just to get one or two good ones - ha ha!
i need a remote too! i'm hoping to get one after this baby comes...it would be so helpful!
love this dress. it looks so comfy.
love that anthro skirt/outfit from the other post too...that jewelry is divine.
I usually ask (force?) Matt to take my outfit pictures but I have done the back and forth run plenty too! ahaha
I love that elephant ring... so cute!
love these photos. It's so fun scouting for photo locations and finding good ones!
