Since a client of mine advertises on WGN Cubs radio, I was invited to a remote broadcast with Theo Epstein President of Baseball Operations for the Chicago Cubs. As a forever Cubs fan, it is great to have someone in charge of the team that is a baseball guy, but also a numbers and stats guy. He wants to build for the future, not just a quick fix...
Since I was going to meet the controller of the future of baseball in Chicago...I spent way to much time trying to decide what to wear. I wanted to look classy, do I went with the basic black dress. The the delimma was what to wear on top, since it was about 25 degrees when I left the house... I decided to ad this print sweater grey tights and my favorite black boots. I figured that the casual sweater over the dress, was very me...classy with a fun, laid back twist...

I am not sure if anyone really notices...or cares, for that matter...I never wear my hair up in photos. I pretty much never wear my hair up unless I am going to the gym or it is a scorching day in the summer. But, I am growing my bangs out, so I decided to try something different...

Oooh love the braid & your purse (well, and the whole chic outfit). I'm so not a sports person, but since even I've heard of Theo Epstein I know it's a big deal to meet him ;) Very cool!
That sounds like fun. You look really pretty, and I am loving that cardigan sweater.
What a great time for you - and you look fabulous - perfect choices! Love the sweater and your braid :)
I love your print mix and your great bag! I think you made a good choice!
Chic on the Cheap
Love the hair! I'm a baseball nerd, too, so I love this post!
You look really great in this outfit!
Too cool! The Cubs are only my second favorite team (Tigers fan, born and raised), but I have high hopes with the change in management.
Love the braid too! Growing bangs out is the most annoying thing, but it definitely helps to pin them back in a fun, creative way.
I'm jealous...not that you got to meet Theo, particularly (sorry, my husband converted me to Reds fandom when we lived in Cincinnati, and my dad is a Yankees fan, so I've never been a huge Theo supporter...), but just that you got to have such an awesome experience in general!
My grandpa pulled me into sports at a very young age, with our favorite team being the Indiana University basketball team. The night Bobby Knight came to speak at my school after IU let him go, I got to have dinner with him, and it was maybe the highlight of college :)
I have been feeling the Southwest vibe lately so I love that sweater! Also, cute bag :)
Just found your blog and saying hi. So cool that you got to meet Theo! I like what you did to your hair. And, I love your bag!
