I take my photos every day myself. It has become a lot easier now that I have a remote. I have always be so jealous of those ladies who have their own photographer (friend, boyfriend, husband) their photos just seems so much more natural, effortless and less posed...now I know why. Instead of setting up the camera and tripod, running to a spot, pressing the remote and counting to ten...you just pose... Lately, I have been getting frustrated with my photos, so I asked Lela who shares my office to play photographer. She happily obliged and the rest is history...too bad she is not around every day!

I usually take about 40 photos each day in the morning if I happen to get to work early (almost never), during my lunch break or on my way to the car for the long ride home. It can take me anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on how I am feeling, how comfy my clothes are, how may people walk through the shot (so annoying) or an array of other annoying variables. With Lela taking my photos these last few times it has taken about 10 minutes at the most and I am not so focused on where to look, when to press the remote button, is the wind going to blow over the tripod... I guess what it all comes down to, end the end, is that it just makes my life easier....
Lela...you rock my socks off!! If only she did not have a real job to do everyday. Hmmm...if I could just pay her to take pretty photos of me every day...not going to happen, but I can dream!
On to my garments...love this fuzzy sweater vest! But, besides how I styled it today, I am at a loss for how to wear it. The few times I have worn it, I have styled it just like this, or with a patterned button up shirt and jeans... Any one have any suggestions??

It is definitely nice having someone take your photos of you. Since there are 2 of us, it definitely helps make things go faster.
I love this vest! How about styling it with a pair of jeans or leggings, a soft turtleneck sweater, and belt it?
Props to Lela - you look so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera! Love the outfit - the blues and browns look super Fall chic (great vest)!
congrats on finding a blogographer! i take about half my photos with a remote when my boyfriend is busy, but it is SO much easier with somebody else to frame shots!
anyway, that vest looks super cozy and i work in a cold office, so it looks even better to me!

OK..I ADORE this vest and totally want one. Did you purchase recently?
Love the whole look...and yes SO much easier with a person taking the shots, right?
As for the Hamsa jewelry..the necklace is super reasonable at 25 dollars...lmk if you want my friends contact info..happy to get you in touch.
Happy Weekend.

These photos are so pretty! I know what you mean about the self-taken photos taking so long. Detail shots mean adjusting the height on the tripod, and another round on the self-timer.

I wish my hubs was that obliging. He grumbles the whole time he has to take my pics. Haha! Love the vest!
I think both you and the photographer did a great job--the pictures look gorgeous! I think the dress would look good (belted maybe?) over a dress too!
LOVE the vest...I'm a bit of a junkie when it comes to knit vests...
They look great layered over maxi dresses and skirts, maybe with a skinny belt that sits higher at the waist...
I love that vest! It's so adorable, and it looks so comfy, too!
I always wish I had someone to take my pictures for me, but my husband is usually too busy giving me a hard time about photographing myself to help :)
You look so pretty! I love this whole look, the boots, the vest, the jewelry, the nails... I love it all!
