Pants...really...why yes, I will...
So, I decided to take a road trip outside my comfort zone by wearing pants today... Not sure the the journey was a very smart one. I have not worn these pants since last summer...or pants in general since early spring. After having the kids, I tended to carry my weight in my stomach, if I bought pants that fit there, they were baggy in the hips and thighs...one of the reasons I have foregone pants. After the surgeries, I lost the stomach pooch, but gained a scar tissue lump and hip to hip incision. Now pants fit better, but just are not quite comfortable. I thought this outfit looked good when I took a quick glance on the way out of the house this morning...maybe the dirty mirror affected my vision...
Maybe I should stick to skirt and dresses...

Comfy dress...check, Statement necklace...check!!

I finally got my new contacts...makes it alot easier to drive, read, pretty much do anything...Thank you

Pants can always be tough to fit, no matter what your body type - skirts that only require one measurement to fit right are just so much simpler!
but i think breaking out of your comfort zone worked here, and you look good in those pants!
Pants are really difficult. That's why I usually stick with dresses. :) You do look adorable in the cropped length though and I love that top. I really adore the dress on you too!

I think you're too hard on yourself--I like the pants look! And I especially love how the striped top and rosette necklace go together perfectly!
the accessories totally add nice touches of color to your gray dress! super simple to do. also, i couldn't comment on your next post, but i think those pants look great on you!

Your cropped pants make for the perfect summery outfit! I tend to have a love/hate relationship with pants, but lately I've been wearing them more than usual. Of course, I would pick the hottest part of the summer to start wearing them again...go figure!

The pants look great! I was wondering when the last time you must have worn pants was. It's so hard for me to wear them in the summer, since we're pretty much forced to wear them for so much of the year because it's too cold for skirts.
I love the necklace you're wearing in your first outfit, and it looks great with the striped top.
Cute striped blouse--love your necklace there, too! And is that a Target dress? I want!
